Front of House Manager

Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with the passion and desire to make their mark in an already well-established company. The successful candidate will be responsible for general operations of the business, with a particular emphasis on organising, managing and training the Reception, Sales and Office departments. We require a candidate with a solid background in departmental organisation, customer service, sales and marketing.

The roles and responsibilities of this Manager will include, but not be limited to:

  • Ensuring company policies are followed, audited and constantly evolving.
  • Optimising profits by controlling costs, working to budgets and developing new revenue streams.
  • Monitoring and improving spend per head, admission numbers and trends.
  • Hiring, training, motivating and developing new employees.
  • Event planning and delivery at key times throughout the year
  • Marketing and advertising strategy and delivery – internally, along with working in collaboration with third parties.
  • Operating an organised, slick and well-presented front of house offering including reception, shop and ancillary services.
  • Resolving customer issues to their overall satisfaction.
  • Administration & HR responsibilities for the small front of house and office teams.
  • Shared responsibility for the security, upkeep and maintenance of our facilities with the rest of the management team.
  • Maintaining an overall management style that follows company best practices.
  • Providing leadership and direction to all employees.
  • Working closely with the management team to lead staff across all departments.

Hours

  • 40 hours per week
  • This role also comes with a commitment to one day of out of hours on-call per week.
  • You will be expected to work at weekends and during school holidays, as these are the peak times for the business.

Cleaning Supervisor

Job description

The company is looking for a motivated, passionate individual with good customer service skills and attention to detail. The candidate will be required to clean the facilities but also supervise a team of lifeguards, pool and changing room attendants. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining high standards in terms of organisation, safety and cleanliness around the park. You will be responsible for ordering supplies, working to budgets and carrying out regular deep cleaning in various areas of the park on a rotational basis.

Waterworld prides itself on providing a safe environment in which our customers can enjoy themselves and our Supervisors are at the heart of this. You will ensure that all company and regulatory requirements are met at all times.

Hours: 35 hours per week over 5 days

Desirable requirements:

  • First Aid Certificate
  • Experience in commercial cleaning and supervising teams
  • Experience in cleaning leisure attractions, particularly in and around swimming pools.

Lifeguard – Lifeguard training can be provided

Job description

The company is looking for motivated, passionate individuals with good customer service skills and the ability to work within a large team of lifeguards and pool attendants. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining high standards in terms of organisation, safety and cleanliness around the park. Waterworld prides itself on providing a safe environment in which our customers can enjoy themselves and our Lifeguards are at the heart of this!

Requirements:

  • Ongoing employment will be conditional upon passing Waterworld’s Lifeguard Training Course. To be eligible to train, you must pass a basic swimming test at Waterworld.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) Check. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.

Desirable, though not essential:

  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent

Pool Attendant

Job description

The company is looking for motivated, passionate individuals with good customer service skills. The successful applicants will be responsible for maintaining high standards in terms of organisation, safety and cleanliness around the park. Waterworld prides itself on providing a safe environment in which our customers can enjoy themselves and our staff are at the heart of this. You will be responsible for helping and directing customers, monitoring customer activity, attending our rides, cleaning and lots more. The aim for our pool attendants is to eventually progress to become fully-qualified lifeguards.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) Check. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.

Catering Assistant

Job description

To ensure the preparation/display and sale of food is in accordance with current legal and company requirements. Provide a high standard of customer care, cash and stock control in accordance with operational procedures. Maintain a high standard of hygiene and personal presentation at all times. To follow all operating policies and procedures as laid down by management.

Specific responsibilities and activities: 

  1. Prepare and present food for display and sale to customers.
  2. Operational of tills to a competent standard.
  3. Sales of goods to customers.
  4. Maintain a high standard of personal and operational hygiene in the work place.
  5. Dealing with customer enquiries.
  6. Attending team briefing sessions and related courses and training as required.
  7. Operate any equipment associated with the job.
  8. Communicate with the supervisor throughout the daily operation on any matters arising.
  9. Reporting an incident of staff failing to perform in accordance with operational rules and procedures including incidents theft or fraud of company stock cash or property.
  10. Work in accordance with current legal and company requirements.
  11. General cleaning duties as directed by catering supervisor.
  12. Keep up to date with changes in administration and operational aspects of the branch.
  13. Ensure all information operational and administrative given from reception to both management and guests is correct.

Photographer

Job description

The company is looking for people skilled in photography (and ideally also videography) to work in our new in-house photography service. You will take photos of our lovely customers in and around the water park, edit and sell prints & digital photos in-house to add to that amazing Waterworld experience! There is also the opportunity for extra hours filming and editing video content around our facilities for use across our social media platforms.

This is the perfect job for those looking for weekend and holiday work, with a passion for photography and a desire to deliver quality and drive sales. Want experience running a commercial photography enterprise? This is your chance!

Hours: Part time (Zero Hours). Likely to be offered many hours during Holiday periods.

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience in photography and camera care. Cameras are provided – Nikon D3400
  • Experience with photoshop software for editing
  • Friendly, approachable personality
